As we continue our journey through life and kick off 2017, let's take the time to reflect on our resolutions and what matters most as we work towards them... positivity. Today will no doubt be abuzz with new years resolutions and promises of what we're going to change just because a new page on the calendar has turned over. Goals are great. We need to be setting goals for ourselves and working towards them constantly. We also need to be realistic with our goals. Don't think for a second that starting on Jan. 1st is going to somehow magically guarantee success. If you set a goal for yourself and get off track on March 2nd, June 15th, or any other day of the year, don't give up and decide to "save it" as your resolution for next year. Revise your plan and continue to work towards your goal with the mindset that you will achieve it. A day of straying from your diet, or failing to instantly achieve mastery of a new hobby does not mark the end of your calendar year for progress. Stay positive throughout the pursuit of whatever it is that you're hoping to accomplish. If you come up with a new goal for yourself, believe that you can achieve it and start working towards it immediately. Don't bench a great idea just because you think that it popped into your head on the wrong date. Put your positivity to work 365 days a year and you will effect great change for yourself, even if you have a few failures along the way.
